Her journey into eye care began in 2009 while working at Honolulu Eye Clinic, where she discovered her passion for helping patients see the world more clearly. What started as a role in the clinic ultimately inspired a career change from International Studies to optometry.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston in 2017.
Raised in a military family, Dr. Switzer spent much of her childhood in South Korea, an experience that shaped her global perspective and deep appreciation for culture, connection, and community. In 2022, she and her husband, also an optometrist, moved to Roseville with their young son to be closer to family.
Dr. Switzer is passionate about contributing to the Roseville community by providing thoughtful, comprehensive eye care to growing families. She is equally excited to grow her own family here and to serve the community she calls home. Her goal is to create an eye care experience that feels welcoming, elevated, and deeply personal, where every patient feels truly seen and cared for.
